What a great story in Canada!

In the province of Quebec, Charlie Lagarde bought the scratch ticket to celebrate her 18th birthday the 14th of March. Eventually, her birthday turned to be much better than expected as she won the lottery. She could decide between getting a lump sum of $780,000 or earning $1,000 for the rest of her life. Of course, given her young age, she went for the second one.

And it’s tax-free!

According to the spokesman for the lottery, Charlie must be even happier than it seems because It’s without taxes so it’s equivalent to a salary of more than $100,000 a year, so it’s a great start in life for that young lady.

That was her first lottery ticket ever and she fell upon a winning ticket.”

That means that at 18 years of age she has already a sort of… pension.

That’s a great start!
